EUCxInspire 2019: Challenging Reality

17 Apr, 2019

EUCxInspire is a TEDx-style event organized by the Erasmus University College. This year’s theme is ‘Challenging Reality’. Five renowned speakers are invited to discuss a broad range of topics – including DRIFT’s Charlie Spork.

‘Challenging Reality’ can be understood as looking for alternative and new ideas to incorporate in our society, and challenging our current status quo in order to transcend it. With this theme Erasmus University College Student Association EUCSA tried to capture the innovative spirit of Rotterdam and Erasmus University College, whilst keeping it broad enough to allow a wide range of perspectives and ideas to be shared on this special night.

EUCSA invited Siemen Cox, founder of Rotterzwam; Jeroen van der Laak, associate professor in computational Pathology at Radboud University Medical Center; Aurelien Baillon, Professor of Economics of Uncertainty in the Behavioral Economics group; Dianne Bevelander, Professor of Management Education at RSM; and DRIFT-consultant Charlie Spork for the 15-minute talks with room for questions.

With his talk ‘Transition Management: a new approach to accelerate societal change’ Charlie will explain how over the last decades the field of transition research has emerged, attempting to understand and explain the dynamics of fundamental, long-term societal change, and he will discuss new and innovative approaches to transition management.
