PROSEU Webinar: Understanding Renewable Energy Prosumers
21 May, 2019
Do you want to learn more about the community-based self-consumption and production models emerging throughout Europe? Join the PROSEU Webinar on May 21!
At a different pace, the energy transition is now happening across Europe and the rest of the world. It seems clear where we want to go. The new energy system should be carbon neutral, fed by renewable energy sources and provide a more democratic and inclusive production and consumption model. Yet, how to get there is still a blur. Citizens organised in energy communities, including through energy cooperatives and other types of collective organisational structures, are emerging as an important new player with the potential to transform the energy model towards a more decentralised, inclusive, participatory and democratic system.
The PROSEU project organises a webinar on May 21 2019 at 10:30h, that brings together the knowledge of researchers as well as real-life energy collectives to characterise and learn more about the new community-based self-consumption and production models emerging throughout Europe.
PROSEU (Prosumers for the Energy Transition) is a project under the EU Horizon 2020 Programme. It brings together eleven partners from seven countries and aims at mainstreaming the phenomenon of renewable energy Prosumer initiatives to the European Energy Union. Prosumers are active energy users who both produce and consume energy from renewable sources.
